A month into summer, we headed off for vacation #3. . . a long RV weekend to Gatlinburg, TN!
The drive was beautiful!
We had never been to Gatlinburg before and it was a really pretty downtown area. Beautiful flowers and a nice trolley transportation system through the city. In fact, we caught the trolley from our campground, into town to see the parade and fireworks.
There was even a creek running through the campground.
The boys found one, tiny crawfish. . . not even big enough for an appetizer!
Gatlinburg has a 4th of July parade that kicks off at 12:01 a.m. on the 4th and of course, we went!
It rained a little, so we made Jiffy Pop and watched a movie in the RV.
On the evening of the 4th, we went into town for fireworks!
They had a great fireworks show!! We let the kids each pick out a treat, which turned into a long laborious process of searching store by store for the perfect thing!
We stayed right down the street from Jellystone Park, which the kids thought was pretty cool too!
It was a great long weekend!
